Expired visa, waiting for work permit and PR

I applied for my PGWP in September and have also applied for my PR under TR to PR in June, my visa is expired and I want to go to India to visit in January, for that I would need to renew my visa, is there a way I can apply for my visa right now or do I just have to wait for my work permit to arrive? If anyone has suggestions it would be great, please help. Thank you!

You need a valid TRV to return to Canada. You can apply for the TRV from Canada or apply from within India.

Note that processing times are very long right now so be prepared for the possibility that you may be stuck in India for quite a number of months before you can return. Check out the posts in the Visitors section of the forum on this topic.
