Hi Guys.

I didn’t realise that my visa expired before I travelled to my hometown. Now I cannot travel back.I started the Visa renewal application but they’re asking for my future enrollment letter.
I’m not taking any courses in the summer and I can’t wait until fall registration opens.
Please suggest what to attach in the confirmation of enrollment. Should I be attaching previous enrollment letters and providing a letter of explanation? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

A Sp Ext from outside Canada will need a new LOA from a DLI - Typically another course
If no plans for another course, then complete your current program and apply PGWP

You can apply for ext with existing docs but I am not sure if you will get approved

Good Luck

Think study permit is valid, but TRV expired. No such thing as TRV renewal. You are applying for a new TRV. Show some proof that you are attending school.

yes. Study permit is valid still.
I have asked my university to provide me with a special request enrollment letter. I hope I get approved with that.

Ask your DLI if they have Program Enrolment certification. This is different than the Semester Enrolment certification (which only covers a particular semester).

Thank you for your replies guys.
I successfully applied for my TRV on June 6th. There hasn't been any update since. I am worried that I won't be able to make it back for Fall.
I don't mind waiting until August as I have no summer courses. The processing time from UAE says 369 days (processing times -> TRV -> Visitor) But for study permit, it says 7 weeks. Which processing time should I go with?

Thanks for your help.

You are applying for the visa not the study permit. Unfortunately you have to go by the TRV processing time. Did you include an explanation of your situation with your TRV application?

Yes, I did attach a letter of explanation along with the application. 369 days just seems too much when I already have my study permit. I’m paying rent for no reason. Is there any way I can reach out to them or get any update? I’m just scared I can’t make it to my fall semester.

if you previously held a TRV, you are eligible for CAN+. Read details in the link below. I am fairly certain your application will be expedited as you previously held a TRV...

All you can do is raise a webform or call IRCC using a VPN as IRCC only takes calls within Canada. Unfortunately no way to expedite.

Unfortunately the visa now has nothing to do with the permit. It has only been 3 weeks since you applied. Nothing you can do at this time. Hopefully they will see your previous visa and expedite it.
