Expired study permit

Hello,

Please help. My study permit expired on 31st july 2019 and I could not apply for study permit extension because I did not pay college fees so they refused to give me letter. Once I paid my fees, I received the letter & applied for restoration of study permit.

My question is that I just came to know you can't study or work if your study permit expires and you have not applied for it. It was my last semester so I am not studying but my question is I have worked for 18 days legally after the expiration of my study permit. As soon as I came to know that I can't, I have stopped working. But I am really worried if I will be denied/refused/deported for working 18 days without a legal study permit.

You didn' t work legally since you didn't have study permit. It is better to be honsst about your error vetdud have Canada find out. your bigger issue is that you likely won't be able to work or study in Septembet because you have to restore you status abd then get a study permit.

It is much better to be honest and explain that tou made a mistake because you weren't knowledgeable. Canada is much more likely to forgive if you are honest.

Immigration does not have direct access to everyones tax records thats a different government agency.

Can you advise what steps should I take? What are the chances that i will get a restored permit provided that i have worked after the study permit expiration which is illegal .

But whenever we submit an application , we’re giving full authorization to IRCC to cross check with any government organization.

And one of them is CRA.

It’s mentioned on almost every IMM form.

They don't check working hours as a routine, dont worry about it. Its nonsense that they cross check everything, just peoples paranoia.
