Hello! My card PR has expired. I meet the requirements of being in Canada 2 years in past 5. The thing is my expired PR card was stolen. Question: when applying to renewal should I inform that my expired card was stolen or no? Also: is expired card (or copy of it) a required document that I should enclose to my application? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hi

Please check this link

My PR card has been lost, stolen or destroyed. How do I replace it?

Canada’s entry requirements are changing

Permanent residents (PR) of Canada must carry and present their valid PR card or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada, or travelling to Canada on any other commercial carrier. If you do not carry your PR card or PRTD, you may not be able to board your flight, train, bus or boat to Canada.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside Canada, and to apply for a new PR card when your current card expires.

If your PR card is lost, stolen or destroyed while you are in Canada, contact IRCC through this Web form to report what happened. Then you can apply for a replacement PR card. You must fill out section G (solemn declaration) when completing the application and pay the $50 processing fee.

If your PR Card is lost or stolen while you are outside Canada, you should report the loss or theft to the nearest Canadian visa office. To return to Canada, you’ll need to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD). It is only valid for one entry into Canada. Once you are back in Canada, you can apply for a replacement PR card. You must fill out section G (solemn declaration) when completing the application and pay the $50 processing fee.

Hi AJK_9
Thank you for your answer.
The problem is this information not much of a help since at the moment when my card was stolen it has been ALREADY expired. Also now I'm inside Canada and have no intent to travel. So information about travel documents not related to my case. In the link you wrote as far as I understood information related to people who's valid card was stolen. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I hope you understand my situation and can clarify such moments as:
Do I have to inform about stolen card and fill out section G in application if my PR card was already expired at the moment when it was stolen?
If no, would it be a problem further in the procedure since CIC could ask for original of an old card?
Thank you in advance
