Expired passport

I am due to apply for my citizenship at the end of this month, however, my passport expired in December 2019, due to COVID, and because I had no plans to travel, I have not been unable to renew my passport.
Please I need help with the following probing questions:
1. How will this affect my application?
2. Does Alberta Health Card qualify as my second piece of ID (given that it has no photo), if not, has anyone been in this situation and what did they do. My other proof of ID is my DL.

1. This won't be a problem as long as you explain why your passport does not cover the 5 years of your eligibility period.
