Expired Passport and COPR

I’m inside canada planning to renew the same passport that I used when I arrived, but my confirmation or permanently residency (COPR) is expired and from what I read COPR is major requirement for passport renewal.

COPR is not related to renewing your passport.

COPR is from Canada.
Passport is from Home country. I dont think your home country cares about COPR when you renew your passport.
