Expired open work permit, best option to return to Canada

Hello Friends,

As title says, my open work permit and TRV expired feb 2023 and I'm currently outside Canada. What is the best option for returning (even for brief travel) ? Should I just apply for Visitor visa? anyone in a similar situation? any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Why do you want to return? What type of open work permit?

Extended PGWP. I have to attend to some personal matters, returning my rental apartment, retrieve some belongings, etc.

So you already had the extended PGWP for 18 months that expired in February? You are just returning and do not intend to work. If so, you need to apply for a TRV.
