Hello Guyz,

I just registered to the forum and this is my first post. I hope i'll get the response for the query that i'm about to write.

I've filed my case in Nov.2007 and that case still under processing.

3 months back i heard the new fast tracking system for skilled workers. I again filed my case to CIO, and got the recommendation letter last week for submitting the documents to the new delhi. I'm in the process of collecting all the documents, specially the PCC & Fund requirement documents. (My earlier file still in the process, i didnt make any application to withdraw it as of now)

On the other note, my ielts result was valid when i filed my case in 2007. Now that IELTS result is expired. I need serious advise regarding submitting the IELTS result to new delhi? do i need to reappear for the IELTS exam? I've Original IELTS result(Expired) with me and I also have letters from the university mentioning that all my education was in English.

Any comment on this is highly appreciated!!!

By the way, i'm planning to show 70% fund from MF & Shares. And rest of the fund as a FD, saving account, PF & LIC Surrender value. I hope, this will work for me.

Thanks in advance,
Paresh Patel

IELTS is valid for your entire application as it is less than a year old when you apply. Therefore, you shouldn't have to worry about for IELTS for your old application but if you want to go ahead with the new one, you will have to take it again.

Thanks Leon for replying...I appreciate it...

I'm sad to hear that i may have to reappear for exam. Though, i just want to give one shot to convince the Visa office to consider my expired IELTS exam. Will surely keep updating about the case.

Thanks,
Paresh Patel

I didn't know that you can file two different applications under the same name. Is this possible?

convincing your visa office to consider your "EXPIRED" IELTS test result... needs miracle to happen...
don't take the risk. i advise you to just challenge the exam again...
me myself took it twice... the last was june2008...
it's one year and 4 months from the time i applied...
but as i was advised here in the forum and other applicants, it's always better to stay safe and sure!
godbless!

Is this true?? Where is this condition written?

I sat the test in 2005 and requested the British Council to send the results to Manila, which they did. But it seems Manila has lost the results report and never asked me to resend them. Now I have my application in CIC Tokyo and they're requesting me the test results. Should I send them the original report that I got in 2005? Is it really valid now? I don't want to re-take the test... such a waste of time and money...

Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

It does not actually say that as such but it says in a few places in the skilled worker information that your test results may not be more than 1 years old at the time of your application and it does not say anywhere that they make you re-take IELTS or that IELTS expires after a certain period.

If your application was made within a year after your IELTS or you took IELTS after you applied, just send the old one. I have never heard of anybody who had to re-take IELTS because it had expired. I have heard of people who had to re-take because they had Academic instead of General training though.

Leon, thank you for your reply! It gives me more hope.... I will re-take the test only if CIC tells me to do so. For now I'll send my original copy with a note saying "Nobody told me to re-send the results", implying: CIC manila had 2 years to do that and they were just lazy!

My ielts was valid at the time of application to CIO, i got aor on last month. But my 01 yr ielts validity expired now from 06 dec 09:

I have mentioned in the initial app that i have given an approved test and tick all levels as per my result.

PMM suggest me expired ielts will work at 2nd stage ,though the validity start from CIO....

I m ready to submit full docs on ist wk of march,,,,,,,,but i m in confusion for ielts,,,,,,,,

If IO think that it is invalid,,,will they request me to retake ielts,,,,,,,is there any case for rejection for such kind of ielts?????

Anybody face this sort of prob and kindly suggest me......

Thanks.......

If your IELTS was less than one year old when your application was received at CIO, then it is still good.

Leon,,,,

My app received by CIO on 25 dec 09, my ielts expired on 06 dec 09,,,,,i got aor email on 27 jan 2010.

So ielts is ok,,??????

Sorry....
Leon,,,,,

My app received by CIO on nov 25; 2009 and ielts was expired on 06 dec 09,,,,,,i got my aor on 27 jan 2010....

So ielts is ok and it will work???

Yes, the IELTS should be ok as long as it is less than 1 years old at the time your application was received.
