Expiration day for passport vs PPR

Dear experts,

I have a question about my passport.. my passport will expire in early August, 2017.
I got my AOR on March the 10th, 2016. so what if I renewed my passport before my PPR, would that be a problem for CIC?

Too early to renew passport at the moment. I am pretty sure you will receive PPR before passport expired. Unless your passport expiring less than 6 months. There's no any issue for passport renewal.

Thank you for your reply! I heard for PPR the passport needs to be valid for at least a year. That's why I'm a bit concerned about mine since this year August I will only have 1 year on mine.

Just wondering if its possible to send a renewed passport to CIC, which is difference from what I submitted when apply PR?

When you received PPR, then you must send passport and photos within 30 days, the passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months not one year. However, if by the time your passport valid less than 6 months and you EE application still on process, you can renew passport. once they email you PPR, you just send the renewed passport along with letter of explanation.
