experts advice needed regarding gap

I have completed my btech in June 2013 and I'll be applying for visa for may 2015 session. So in between there's gap of 1.5 years. Experts please guide me genuinely about this matter . is this gap serious .. What to do about it

you can show a employment certificate or you need to explain it in details because canada is a country that want's to know what were your activites before.

u need to show sumthng compulsorily. if u have family business, show them tht u were helping them in that n saving money independently for ur course.
