Will I be given the study permit?

What will be the procedure to renew study permit since passport is expiring Apr 2015 and program ends Jan 2016.

Will I have to go through the whole study permit process again?

no worries... at the time of expiration of ur passport just before 3 months apply for a new passport there itself in canada. So relax no issue. First reach CANADA and enjoy ur studies

Two things will happen:

1.If the study permit issued is valid till 2016 then you just need to renew the passport and continue your study on your permit with two passports...

2.If the study permit issued is valid till your passport date and your study goes beyond that date i.e till 2016...then you have renew your passport first and then apply for the study permit with supporting documents that you are still stuyding ...

Nothing to worry about this two situations and you can go ahead with your plans to apply for Study Permit...Good luck

So since my course is 2 years long, will I still be eligible for 3 years PGWP if the study permit is spread out over two passports? Will there be any complications in that department?

Hi,

Two things will happen:

the only problem i see is when u renew ur study permit again u will have to show financial proof again if thats ok with then go ahead....

1. You can attach the same original letter. You do not need to renew the same.

i have the same situation. the only difference is my passport will expire next year. what i did was i renewed my passport so i wont be having a hard time renewing it in canda.

Don't worry ,
Renew your passport before 3 months and then apply for Visa extension after receiving new passport.
It won't affect your PGWP.
