I have noticed that I have reduced my responding to the forum lately. Not because I don't want to put in my effort but because a lot of questions are being asked the same over and over to the point of "why am I repeating the same lines over and over".

Another contribution is that some of the younger members have been passing on the same information more seniors have been reporting to them when they asked the questions. So why would I repeat the same answer unless an OP is stubborn and is not getting the answer he/she is wishing to hear (you know who you are).

The gist of it is that the only people responsible for the application are the sponsor/applicant themselves. This forum is suppose to be a place to ask specific questions that can be easily answered or verified.

Start asking general vague questions will not get you anywhere as it can lead to uninterested posts that get lost easily. General questions also can lead to long long response that a lot of senior members don't have time to write.

Ask a direct specific question and you will get a direct specific answer. Ask a vague question, you will get more questions asking for more details before they can answer.

I also see that some members don't want to take the advice of new members who are not seniors. Some advice given by new members are also true thus why sometimes you don't see seniors putting their advice in as well. Why repeat the same advice when a new member said the same thing. If a new member gave an incorrect advice or post, a senior member would likely respond with a correct one. So if there are no senior members responding after a new member's advice, it is likely that the advice given is a correct one. Again goes back to "why repeat the same answer over and over".

Exactly this. This is what I was getting at in my response to the OP as well - why bother writing the same answer time and time again... clearly if the person can't help themselves at all, why should I do their work for them?

I have a guess! :p

I just had a look at a few more recent threads. Threads that ask specific, pointed questions are answered within hours. Threads that ask very broad questions that are badly worded, vague, and/or non-specific don't get answers, or don't get very good answers.

I love this forum and the people on here! They have helped me so many times, this process is not easy on anyone!

If I was "ignored" or whatever I would just bump my post or pm someone I think is knowledgeable...not bicker and complain...this is a forum, which is a group of people (just like you!) with the same issues looking for information...not a free service pool. Information here is gathered from people going through this themselves, learning along the way...etc...

No one should be arguing or complaining unless someone has said something mean or hurtful.

True , plus 1

Hi

I would like to know what they ask you in the ADR process? And wondering if your wait is over yet?

thanks!

There are amazing people on this forum who has help me from day one to now.

I can't even name them all because theres a lot of people and I don't want to miss anyone . The knowledge and information I got from this forum was and still is amazing !!!

I'm sorry to hear that your questions are not getting answered, and your thread was not necessary at all!....but I guess everyone is intitled to their own options !!!

We all at some time been or still is frustrated with this immigration process

I'm sure at some point you will get help,.

Good luck and happy landing

I've been trying but sometimes I'm wrong about something! Happened today. I just hope everyone takes everyone else's advice as a suggestion and does more research before making a big decision on something said on here. Sometimes there's no perfectly right answer to some of the questions asked on here.

Mostly new users ask same as usual common questions, better they search threads first before asking, trust every thing they will find out in the forum.
Yeah if any thing new and not common than others, they should ask without any hesitation.

Not to beat a dead horse, but as others have stated (and I suppose I am not a senior member, though I do feel that I have learned my fair share of CIC issues to the point that I feel confident giving advice sometimes), it is VERY frustrating to see new members ask a question that could have easily been answered by Google searching it, looking on the CIC website, or checking the search bar on canadavisa.

Folks, if you want a question answered, let us know what you've already checked! If we know that you've exhausted your options and still came up empty handed, people will be way more likely to reach out to you than if you came here and asked your question, expecting us to spell it out for you!

As someone new with this process, my personal experience with the helpfulness of other members has been extremely positive. And certainly a million times more helpful then the CIC call centre. Very grateful for this forum!

I have found the members on this forum incredibly helpful. Both replying to my posts as well as to others with similar questions or in similar situations. Thank you all for that. Just entering my question into Google usually leads me back to this forum and directly to the relevant thread, I can recommend doing that first before posting a question.

Hi there - At the ADR they ask mostly about how we met. They really want to see how the relationship grew. I brought all kinds of evidence with me but he was more interested in just asking me face to face how we met, and how we communicated. I WON the appeal :D however it was back in April 2015 - He had to re do his medicals and pcc - still waiting on REquest for passport.
