Hey.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
I'm curious to know if the call centre is really slow with getting back to you for an appointment, or if they link you up with your current city's CIC office pretty quick.

Thanks all. Wishing everyone some DMs, reunions with loved ones, and a happy new year!!

It can take a long time to get your appointment, can take weeks or months depending on the location.

Just go to the land border with USA, and do your landing. Check the nearest land POE which has immigration control on cbsa website.

Making an appointment to land is such a waste of time when it can be done immediately.

I called CIC and book an appointment for landing schedule.
the agent told me I would get a phone call from local office, but they sent me a letter with interview date on it.

It was scheduled a month after I phoned CIC.

I agreed with Canvis2006 , landing at the boarder would be much faster and no waiting.
I live 5 hours drive (oneway) to the boarder, so that was my only option.

Not everyone has access to a land border.

Canvis, I agree. It is much faster to get in through a land boarder...... If you are near one.

We tried calling the CIC number today. They are so busy, they aren't even putting people through to an agent. I don't know how long it will take to get through. And then who knows when our appointment would be.

With it being the holidays, flights are ridiculously over priced and I refuse to pay. Sooooo, we are going to make the 6 hour drive to our nearest land border this weekend.

Anyone with CIC appointment experiences should still post here. I'm sure the info will be helpful to many.

Good luck, everyone. And thank you.
