Hi,
I wrote an experience letter for one of my previous company, they has been closed but the former manager is willing to sign for me, the problem is we dont have official company letter head. We put the company logo on the letter and the company address before ( it still can be searched online and show on google), plus his contact information.
Im wondering if it will be a problem? I had a contract and I loose it, but I have an offer letter from email with my manager name using his company's email. The letter on the email wrote very cleary about the job title, date start, salary and job description, all in English.
Can i write a letter of explanation says that company closed and included that email?

Please I need advice

Thanks a lot

I don't think there will be any problem. Just attach ROE, T4, NOA along with the letter you will be fine

Or the alternative is to get the experience letter signed on an affidavit. You can find the format of the affidavit online. The only condition here is that your manager has to be in person with you when signing the affidavit, in presence of the legal witness who stamps it.

If the company is closed, you should NOT put the letter on fake letterhead - please don't do this, it would be misrepresentation.

Simply have your former manager explain the situation in the reference letter on plain paper, and include his current contact information. Then include supporting documents (if it is in Canada, T4, NOA, record of employment). There is no need for an affidavit or to get it notarized. Not a big deal, it has certainly happened before.

Yes, you should do this too.

Thanks so much :( I already did the letter. I put the logo of the company in that letter :( I cannot request any other letter from him now. As I came back to Toronto, I got that letter last month since I visited my country back home.
Should I just submit that letter and explain ? And I asked another colleague to write me another letter to prove my position?

I also have an email wroten by my manager about that job offer ( job duties, salary, starting date etc...), but just an email . I attached in the application too, will it be ok :(

The only thing Im so worry is that letter is in the old letter head and signed .I cannot request any other letter from him now.

Thanks so much for ur help
