Experience letter - company that was acquired and changed the name

Hello folks,

I have a situation and want to get a tip in how to proceed.
I used to work for a "company X". After I left, this company was acquired by "company Y" and the name now is only "company Y". My former manager is still there and can give me a experience letter in "company Y" letterhead.
I can ask him to mention in the letter about the acquisition.

Now my question is: in the EE profile, when listing my experiences, show I call this experience as under "company X" name (old name, from when I was employed) or list it as "company Y" (new name) experience in the profile?

Hey I had a similar situation and when i was creating profile I mentioned Company's old name then in brackets new name. And attached reference letter from new company.

Example:- company X (company Y)
