Experience Class - Final Steps in Application (Help!)

I have submitted my passport along with all necessary documents to Ottawa under the Canadian Experience Class for the PR visa to be issued for an applicant within Canada. My dilemma is that my passport & documents were received by Ottawa on the 15th of April 2013 and I have been offered a job that needs me to urgently start work on the 13th of May 2013. I do not have a valid work permit right now. Can somebody please tell me how long does it usually take for the passport to return ? Is there a way to expedite the return of my passport ? And once the passport returns, how soon can I get authorization to start working.
Any suggestions or help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as I am short on time. I did send a return Express Post envelope along with the package which takes around 1 business day.

aah i think u received PPR.. thats why u submitted ur passport.

I think you get ur passport back in 4-6 weeks. But it depends.

1 - Expediting the COPR and PR stamp on Passport - I haven't heard from anyone if they were able to expedite this part (or well any part!) of this process. I understand you have a job offer - is there any way your potential employer might wait a couple of weeks? You send it on 15th april - so at the latest 6 weeks from there? Talk to them - if they might be willing to wait 2 more weeks?

2- Once you get the docs - there is no waiting required. As soon as you get your COPR and Passport back - just drive to Peacebridge - Fort Erie and complete the landing process there.
