Experience certificate from previous employer

Hi,
Last year I had applied for dependent visa and got rejected twice. The reason was inadequate funds.
I had provided my work history/experience in the dependent application.

Now I want to apply for work permit. The problem is that I lost the experience certificate for one of the employer.
Is is fine if I don't mention that employer in my work permit application as there is no document with me to proof my experience?
Since I included that employer in my dependent application last year, are there chances that embassy will look into the details of my dependent application and can reject my work permit application because the work experience details are not matching?

Thanks.

I would think that falsifying your application to CIC would be a serious mistake. If you don't have the document any longer, so be it. But you submitted it before, they reviewed it before and it will be on your file.

You do know you could submit a request (via the privacy act if you are in Canada, or someone on your behalf via the access to information act) for a copy of your previous submitted document file and that would give you a copy of the copy that you submitted to CIC.

It would be better to be truthful in your application and omit the evidence. If they ask for it, you can say you lost the certificate but you had previously submitted on the earlier application.

Never lie to CIC. Especially, don't change your story from application to application. A two year ban from Canada would not be a good thing to have on your record.

Good luck!
