No, there are no changes except the CAP is smaller now so apply fast before it fills up.

Nobody knows if it will be there next year or not. The list of 38 was around for 2 years before they changed it. The list of 29 is now starting its second year.

also there is a possibility that they change more than 1 noc in next year. you never know.

Sydney CIC has received today my files for NOC 1122..... after reading this forum, I'm a bit afraid :-[ we won't make it before it reaches its CAP...

What's next? How long does it take to know if your application is being reviewed or it didn't fall into the 500 CAP??

2 ways of knowing:
1) If your credit card is charged, or bank draft cashed - which means your application passed the completeness check and you are inside the cap.
2) When they print the results here and the figure is still comfortably below 500:

I have applied on 2nd of July and my application reached there on 7th of July.

Can i expect that my application would be accepted.

Can i know wheteher the process of selection is First come first serve basis or the best applications received.

if the best applications received, then they may consider the candiates with high points more than 67

first come, first serve basis. So far as you make the minimum 67 points.

It is certainly on the qualification of 67 points. I have been actually asking many applicants who have applied from New Dehi VO, about the no. of applications sent from their consultants in NOC 1122, as per them their consultants have sent more than 100 applications as of 30/06/2011 in this NOC. I am really very worried about my application being accepted before the CAP.

Does the 500 also include applications that are refused by CIO? 1122 is the most 'open' NOC to try out for people who aren't on the list and I am sure many of them will be refused.

it really does not matter that whether a person is refused for a visa or not at a later stage, what matters the most is that the application is complete and whether it has reached within the cap.

So if 500 people mailed their applications on June 30th, the cap would be full, even if none of them qualified to apply under that NOC and all of them are refused?

yes. cio accepts completed appli ations and count it towards the cap. later on if it is not as per the requirement then app gets refused but the cap is not released. hopefully we will fall inside tlhe cap, if not then a long long wait of 1 year will be very painful. let us hope for the best.

I just submitted my application yesterday.. last year I didn't applied as I thought I shouldn't block someone else's application.. I decided to submit the application this year for the sake of my family.. I don't feel good though.. if my application will be accepted someone else's will be returned.. the guy may be in more need of canadian immigration... anyway good luck to every one.

hi...for giving input in funds field....i have used oanda.com for currency conversion from local currency to CAD...is this ok?....or there is some official website/process to convert currency from local to CAD?
