I'm expecting my request for my passports this year (I just finished medicals and sent the FBI docs)

I know that VISA is only good for one enrty (Landing) but...

I'm from a Visa Excempt Country, could I exit canada (maybe visit de US) after landing and cross back to canada using my regular Passport?

Or doy I have to stay in Canada while I get my PR card?

Yes, you can exit and return, but..

You need to provide a Canadian address when you land (or shortly thereafter) so that CIC can mail your PR card. They won't mail it to a U.S. address. If you don't provide a Canadian address, they'll hold onto your PR card for up to (I think) 6 months, at which time the card will be destroyed and you'll have to apply for a new one.

If you have a friend in Canada with whom you'll be staying, you can use his/her address to mail the card to.

Hey, thank you a lot for your answer.

I do plan to stay but other members of my family will probably just land and return (kids to finish school year etc...)

I wanted to make sure they could come back in case something was required before they got their PR Cards

We are from Mexico btw.
