Example of Police Certificate China

Hi all

As I lived in China from 2009 to 2013 I need a police certificate.
However as I no longer have my old passport with visa, nor my temporary residency papers I am unable to get the police certificate.

What worries me is the wording from the Canadian website:

How can I get proof that I cannot get the police certificate?

I have seen that there are many middle-men who offer this service for +500USD which I find outrageous.

What am I getting right now:
- Document from the local Danish authorities, that they took my passport in 2016
- Document from the Danish embassy in Beijing confirming that I do not have this old passport and therefore I cannot get the police certificate

Things I am considering doing:
- Asking the Chinese embassy here in Denmark if they will write me a document

So my question:
Is there anyone who have gotten any official document proving that they applied, and if yes, how did they get it, and would they be willing to share a screenshot with me, so that I can get my family in China to try to see if they can acquire it themselves?
