We will have:
-Phone bills from my phone's & phone bill's from his phone's
-We have chat logs for a year talking every day for like 9 hours a day, how many should I send?
-Photocopies of the two visits to his country I made and the third entry when I started living here.
-2 letters from me to him and letter from him to me
-A letter for my mom that she wrote when I moved here saying that she wishes us luck and stuff (should I or no?)
-Pictures of my visits, with his family, in christmas, new years, wedding and other random times (how many?)
What else?
This doesn't seem enough, I want to be sure that they know were faking because he's Dominican, and they have the Sanky Panky reputation.

Send all the phone bills. For the chat logs, send a copy of the 'inbox' showing the date and time of each, and then choose a selection. Some people pick one a week from the length of their relationship, or whatever. Choose what seems like not too many pages - no more than a hundred - and tell the VO that you have more if he/she wants to see them.

Yes. Anything that shows that your families know about and approve of the relationship is good.
-Pictures of my visits, with his family, in christmas, new years, wedding and other random times (how many?)
Get a selection from the length of your relationship. Ones where you are with each other's friends and family are good. Also try to get some candid shots where you are not posing. People have sent in as few as 10 and as many as 250. It depends on the visa office and how much other evidence you have. You say people from your husband's country have a bad immigration reputation, so send in more. 100 would be OK.

Photos of gifts and gift receipts, receipts for hotel, restaurant, and activities during your visits with him. You can get affidavits, letters or emails from friends and family stating that they believe your marriage is genuine. Joint financial docs are good: joint bank accounts, credit cards, each other as beneficiaries on wills, insurance, etc. Joint leases or mortgages.

I am worried about this too....even though my fiance is from Morocco...but still it is not easy from many areas!!...I have known him since Nov '08.

I have;

-chat logs from last 8 months but...my computer crashed so lost all chat logs for Jan - Dec 2009 :(
-phone logs but...we use phone cards so how to prove it was actually calls to each other??
-passport stamp and ticket info from my trip there
-many many photos from my trip with many family members, I also stayed at 3 sisters houses and have photos from all these places, as well I have photos of my daughter and mother talking to him online
-emails and correspondence from early in the relationship...after which we almost solely used msn (as I mentioned above I lost a whole year of chat log when my computer crashed)
-we sent gifts to each other but I lost the boxes when a good intentioned friend threw them out :( he still has everything I ever sent him including envelopes.
-a few emails with his one sister and Facebook communication with another sister
-I have saved SMS messages from him for the time between Jan - Dec 2009 but have no idea how I am supposed to show that...take a pic of my phone and hope they can read it ?? Also he stopped sending SMS after Dec 2009 since he could not afford to anymore.

So I wonder the same thing...is this enough because we talk online daily...but it is just that...talking so how to provide proof of a verbal conversation ?? lol ...this is so nerve wracking.

Since it's on msn there's no real inbox :( there's just the folder with all the conversation and the little icons say his email?
What should I do with that

Also I took a print screen of both of our facebook profiles that shows all of our friends we both have alot, and it says both of our relationship status' as "married to..." is this a good idea?

Good idea.
Photos of gifts are fine if you have lost the receipts. For letters and cards they want the envelopes as well if possible to show the date and that you actually mailed them.
Phone cards: it is definitely better to communicate by some way that leaves a record! I'd suggest using a land line or a cell that shows the number you called, even if it is more expensive. One person on this forum had her phone cards accepted as evidence - she sent a photocopy of all the cards they used, evidence of how much it would have cost to call using a land line, and a letter explaining why they used calling cards. Most of the time, though, phone cards are not accepted as evidence, but because of her experience I think it is at least worth trying.

Hi!

For MSN logs, I put them all in a different folder, and showed the details on a list on the folder, in order to display the "last date modified". This also displays the size of the file. It would give them an idea of how much you guys chat and how often (I believe MSN creates a different XML file once a month or once it reaches a specific size, so you should have more than one icon with his email address).
Then, print a screenshot of the folder, paste on paint and print it.

Hope this helps!

I will try to do this when I get home. I have not played around much with the msn files just trying to keep them in order and in a safe place. Do you know if I can also make a back up of these files onto CD or other so I do not lose the information again?

Thanks for the suggestions. :D

Just click on your photo, and print, the printer should print the photo and the comments just like it looks on the screen. :)

Yup, just make sure you also copy the file called "MessageLog.xsl", else you won't be able to open them.

Hope this helps!

There is a folder in "My Documents" called "My Chat Logs" on my computer. Inside that, is a folder for each month, then a file for each person I talked to in that month. I have "Messenger Plus!" which I think reorganizes these a bit, so yours may not be quite the same if you don't have "Plus!"

Interesting...I will check this out tonight and see if I have this. I am not sure which version of msn I have so I will check that also.

Thanks :D

I gave my wife many gifts (clothing jewelery shoes) and she also bought me many wedding gifts from Canada as well (clothes, shoes, perfume etc) none of us bothered to keep the receipts however :'( we also don't have any receipts of the dozens of hotels we went out to eat in and the dozens of things we bought in the few months she lived with me. (we got married this october, she lived with me until december and has now been in Canada for the passed 2 months).

is just taking pictures of the gifts really enough? how should they be taken? with someone (like me or my wife) holding the gift or just plain pictures of the gifts with descriptions written on the back? and should each gift have its own picture or can more then one gift be in a picture?

since we have only been married for 4 months (and she lived with me for 2 and a half of these 4),are receipts really that important ? :(

i seriously regret throwing them out but come on! we just got married! the last thing we were concerned about was keeping track of receipts! :'(

no pain no gain i guess

please reply soon, anyone with advice...

We haven't submitted any gift receipts too, I guess it's really hard to keep them esp when you didn't anticipate that this process could be this keen. Anyway, every time we get a gift from each other, we take a picture of the box (since it's coming from overseas) it shows the post stamps, then we take a picture of us holding the gift in the box, and holding the gift showing what's inside.
