I am a Vietnamese girl and I am working on my PR application under skilled worker class. I have read the instruction by CIC and got some ideas of what I have to do. I would like to have your comments, to make sure that I am going in the right direction. I appreciate all of your comments!!!!
1. I originally wanted to apply for my PR under Family class because I am married to a Canadian citizen. However, we found out that my husband's convictions in the US 3 years ago (may) disqualify him from sponsoring me to Canada. That's why I switched to Skilled worker class. And according to my self-assessment, I think I qualify for this category: I have a bachelor degree on Corporate Finance, 4 years of working experience: First job was Account Manager (sales executive), second job was Accountant and Office staff (responsible for looking for foreigner suppliers since the company was specialised in scientific instruments, medical instruments...; the third job - the present one is Accountant/Assistant for a governmental project.
2. Now I am preparing for my IELTS Test and plan to take the test in the next 1 or 2 months. My plan is to get at least 6.5 for each skill.
3. Proof of Work Experience - I think this one is the most important and I need your help the most. I plan to do this part as follows:
- First job:
+ Contract
+ Reference Letter signed by the company's director verify the period of time I worked for the company, my title, my salary (it was not high since the salary in Vietnam is very low compare to other countries), some comments/recommendations)
+ A Reference Letter signed by my direct supervisor with more detail on my duty, my performance...
- Second job:
+ Contract
+ A reference letter singed by the company's director. Actually that was my brother's company and now it's on closing since the business is not good any more. Does it somehow affect when the Visa Officer judging my application?
- Third job
+ Contract
+ Reference letter signed by Project Director verifying my work duration, title, salary, my perfomance.
+ Reference letter signed by the Project Manager, he works with me more closely.
+ Reference letter by a consultant of the project (I am wondering if it is worth it because he is a Candian citizen and he is a president of a big company in Canada, so maybe his recommendation is valueable?)
4. For relationship in Canada, I wonder if I should just submit my marriage certificate or should I also provide evidences of our relationship (just like spouse application). I plan to write a cover letter explaining I am applying under Skilled Worker Class because my husband cannot sponsor me right now. Do you think it will draw attention to my application because CIC priority family reunion.
5. Is there any supporting document I should enclose in my application to make it more convincing?
