Asking for GCMS notes is totally useless for most applications (and unknown to 99% of applicants), and yours has just started anyway...
So, it's not "too early" to do so, it's simply uncalled for.
Don't think about it unless something really derails your application.

I totally agree, it is ridiculous that people think that you need to apply for the note, that is one of the reasons the system is clogged; too many unnecessary requests.

Which system are you referring to? The ordering of notes has NO impact on the processing of applications.

It may not, however, there are people who really needed to have access to their notes that will have to wait even longer than 1 month because too many people were requesting unnecessarily.

A good rule of thumb for applying to notes could be;

- apply if you are IP/DM and you can't find anyone who has been stuck at the IP/DM stage (at your office location) since about the same time (or longer) as you have

or

- you've been stuck at the same stage for 6 months

or

- you have specific life circumstances that require you knowing where your file is at

or

- you have specific reasons to think the processing of your file is non standard

EVERY application is different..do not compare yours with others, rule no 1. Your time will come, patience is the word, it has only been 2 months since AOR

It's a small sample size on these forums, and I'll promise you that you're not the only one who's at the same stage.

I remember back at the PR stage you were worried about being last as well, but that worked out fine eventually. Try not to worry so much.

Everyone? I checked the spreadsheet, and 80% of Feb appicants have not gotten IP, including several from the first week of Feb.

stop asking for it, you're stalling the system. patience is the key.
