That's a good point. That being said, I don't think Canada prevented EU citizens from boarding planes. That was the US, which introduced stipulations to the VWP that ban dual citizens of some middle eastern countries from using the VWP even if they have European citizenships. What the US does is the US' business, but the stupid government here is making nonsensical moves as Politren pointed out. Not only would that harm the value of the Canadian passport/citizenship but it will harm political and economic relations with the rest of the world.
