Etobicoke Landing (Inland Application)

So we got our DM (still in shock), and we will be contacted for landing in Etobicoke.

Can anyone share lately how long it has taken more or less to get a landing interview? How long until they contact you, and how long until the date they set? I believe I heard that people have been contacted for landing interviews by email, phone and regular mail?? So we aren’t really too sure which they would use?

What is this COPR I keep seeing ppl talking about for landing?

Any special advice? What to bring?

Would it look good or make any positive difference to bring our son with us? (he’s 4…)

Also I know one of the questions is if you have committed a crime. My husband does have a record in the US, and this was fully disclosed to Immigration. Are they just asking if you have committed a crime since the application was sent in? How should we answer this?

Also how much paper work did you bring with you??

Just your payment receipt? (Hope I can find mine!)

Should I bring the FBI check where it shows my husbands record in our case?

Also if one of the questions is if you have ever been denied entry into Canada, do they just mean at the border? Or, for example, my husband was denied 1 visitor visa (and 2 others were approved). Would we say yes to that?

Will/CAN they deny our landing for having to say yes to having ever committed a crime and being denied entry into Canada (if that is the case?) My husband argues that what he has a record for is not a crime (he crossed the border to the US to see his mom without having the proper papers...a long time ago, and it was all dealt with. Clearly it can't be too big of a deal to them since they issued DM?)

Our date is getting closer...Hubby (Applicant) is excited, Me (Sponsor) is super nervous.
Any answers to above questions appreciated!

-Do you have to bring your payment receipt? It doesn't specify this on our email. CIC has confirmed everything is paid in full...but I have learned never to trust CIC...

-Should we bring papers about my husband's record in the US, although it was fully disclosed in the application....Any advice on how best to answer that question at landing? I suggested my husband say “There was an incident in the US, which was fully disclosed in our Application. However there has been nothing since then.”

-How to answer if ever denied entry into Canada? 1 Visitor Visa was refused, but he has never been turned around at the border?

-Does anyone bring their children with them? Trying to decide if it would have any positive impact having our 4yr old with us?

-Any other papers we should bring besides what they ask for??

Sooooooo nervous/excited...arrrgggg!!! Can't believe after all this waiting the date is almost here!!!
