I am happy to say that as of yesterday I became a PR holder and I thought similarly to all those that have shared their experiences, it is about time for me to share mine.

PR Application & COPR:
I had submitted my PR Application on 2019, Sep 29 and received the "Ready for Visa" email from the following recipient
IRCC.CPCO-FinalRequest-CTDO-DemandeFinale.IRCC@cic.gc.ca on 2020, Jan 16 which initially I thought was a Spam email because CIC always sends emails stating that either there is an update or a message in your account, so I did not expect to receive an email directly, also when checking my account in CIC I noticed there was no change. Nevertheless, after searching online and asking some friends I realized that the email is legit and it is basically asking to submit our passports which we did immediately and once they receive the passports you will receive the email that you CIC account has been updated and it should then show "Approved".

About a week to 10 days later we received our passports along with the COPR documents, which tells you that you have two options:
1. Request an appointment at an IRCC office.
2. Leave the country and re-enter as a landed immigrant.

PR Interview/Appoointment:
Based on the research I had done I was very hesitant to request an appointment because I heard it takes forever. But I am glad that I did. I sent the email on 2020, Feb 5th and received the automatic reply immediately and then a week later on 2020, Feb 12 I received the appointment letter from Etobicoke Landing stating that my interview is for the coming week on 2020, Feb 19.

At the appointment we arrived 5 minutes early for our 3:00 pm appointment and had to wait till 3:30 pm which was not too bad. The clerk basically asked us 2 questions, what was the first date of entry to Canada and what was the last. After that he does some stuff on his computer and then signs the papers and that's it you are all done. Congratulations on becoming a PR.

So all in all if you think about it for my case from the day I submitted my application which was 2019, Sep 29 till 2020, Feb 19 is when I became a PR it is less than 6 months processing and if you take into account another 2-4 weeks to actually receive the PR card even though I don't think that has any effect on anything, you can say in all confidence that the entire process could take up to 6 months.

I hope this was helpful to you guys and I was able to share some of the experiences I went through.

Hi Guys, I have a question on COPR expiry date.

Is COPR expiry date the same as Medical expiry and One time visa expiry?

I sent my passport for one-time visa stamping and got to know the details updated in my online profile while waiting for my COPR, would that be ok to send an email for booking appointment in Etobicoke for landing an interview?

Congradulation for becomming a PR of Canada,

I have a question, when we send our passport for visa and corp letter we sent them with 2 pictures, one of which is attached to the Corp letter we recieved.
I take an appointment with Etobicoke office and in the appointment letter they didn't mention to bring my Corp, but the mentioned that I have to bring 2 pictures. Did you take pictured for yojr appointment or is the Corp enough?

Thank you

Hi guys,

I am an inland applicant and have received an email today for landing interview at etobicoke with the appointment details. However, on my cic account, it still says 'You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes'

Is this normal? And also please provide details on what questions to expect during the interview.

Thanks

Yes, that's normal per my understanding.

May I know when did you send an email for requesting appointment?

Also, do you mind sharing your COPR expiry date ?

Hey,

Thanks for your reply. I did not send any email for appointment. I got an email directly mentioning my interview time and location. I did not receive CoPR or PPR till now.

Thanks

Same for me, but as per my discussion with my friends, if you paid the fees already no need to carry any receipt.

May I know when is your appointment date?

Hi , I got my copr and visa today. Is it ok to go on US border in coming week or there would be any issues because of Coronavirus or should I prefer nearby office for immigration?

I have recently been approved permanent residence after my wife sponsered me from Canada. I have booked a direct flight to Vancouver on 21st this month. But the recent announcement by pm of canada had put me in confusion that whether i am still able to travel because in the announcement they specifically told that immediate members of the family are exempt of this ban on border travel
Please help as i only had few days left

You have proof of your PR in hand. If you're healthy, you're good to go. They'll do initial screen before you board aircraft
