my mothers eTA is considered non routine due to the fact that she entered a date wrong when trying to renew her ETA, how long does this process take? calling IRCC is impossible and it states they have all the correct info right now, any suggestions as to getting this done quicker or getting a time line, her travel date is Oct 3

Unfortunately no one can give you a timeline if the application was considered non-routine. People on this forum wait months but could be days. Nothing you can really do but wait. You can ask your MP but they can’t expedite only ask about status.

As said above, once an eTA is non-standard, processing is generally taking several months due to application backlogs and the fact that the application now needs to be reviewed by an officer.

There is no way to speed up the process.

She would have included the family emergency in the original ETA application. Again, it will not expedite now that the application is non routine.

hey, im wondering if the ETA is approved? I am stuck in the same boat as my application is non-routine as well. please let me know if there are any updates
