Hi,

we are planning our honeymoon in Canada and our flight is scheduled for this Thursday (26th May).
As my old passport was expired I applied for a new passport but due to Covid the processing time was longer than expected.
In order to get my eTA in time I applied with the passport number which I got told in advance by the civic office before receiving my passport.
Unfortunately there was a small mistake as the person giving me the number gave me the number in the bottom left of the passport. This number is the same as the correct passport number but has an additional 10th digit.
So the first 9 digits are the same but there is an additional 10th digit at the end that is just not there in the correct passport number.
So I applied for my eTA with the wrong number a while ago which got approved right away.
Today I received my passport and noticed the mistake. I reapplied for the eTA with the same data and with just the one difference being my passport number being one digit shorter.

Unfortunately this application did not get confirmed right away like the first one.
So as I understand it I can not travel right now because on my confirmed eTA the passport number is one digit too long? This number is written on the passport but not in the right place...
Or do you think this won't be a problem?
On the other hand is there any chance my new application with the correct number will be approved within the next two days?

Really desperate here as we may have to cancel our honeymoon which also costs a lot...

thanks in advance.
