Hi,
I am an Austrian citizen and I might have a complicated issue to describe.
In 2017 I have applied for a study permit to study in Canada, which was approved and I did do my exchange year until July 2018. Then of course my study permit expired. I received an eTA with that study permit, but I thought since my study permit expired my eTA would do too, therefore I applied for a new eTA in September 2018 which was also approved right away.
I now posses a valid eTA until my passport expires in April 2019. I am planning to renew my passport within the next month and of course I will need a new eTA with my new passport. The question I have is that with the study permit I had a UCI number, but now with my recently approved eTA I have a new eTA number which is not the same as the one in my study permit application.
For a new eTA application in Part C you have to answer whether you had applied for a study permit, work permit, visa, eTA etc. before and then if you answer yes (which I would do in my case) it says you have to provide UCI/previous eTA number. I am now confused about which number to provide
The UCI from my previous study permit, or the current and valid and recently approved eTA number which is linked to my passport. I do not want to make any mistakes in the application and risk getting the eTA denied.
I hope you can help me in this matter!
Kind regards,
Sumaiya Akhter
