ETA Question plz help!

My boyfriend just renewed his passport,and got his Eta approved. He booked his ticket to come visit but looked at his passport and realized they got his height wrong (significantly wrong). So they will apply him with a new passport at the end of the week but do you think that when he reapplies for the Eta (new passport number), that it may be a problem?

No, don't worry, he can apply again and no problems will occur.
(From the CIC website)" What happens if I get a new passport after I have received an eTA?
If you get a new passport, you will need to get a new eTA. Your eTA is electronically linked to your passport. "

He applied again and there was a section asking if he had ever applied to visit canada before and he said yes (referring to the eTA he applied for last week) and provided the old eTA number in the space provided. This time he received an email saying his case is being reviewed and they will contact him within 72 hours.

now we are worried because he already booked his flight after being approved for the last eTA.

sorry I took so long to reply but I don't think there will be any problems,you will hear the good news soon, if not yet.
Did you hear anything yet?
P.S is his flight before or after 72? If it's after 72 you don't have to worry about the ticket issue.
Eta some times does take few days to get approved so if you have few days remaining before the flight,its gonna be alright.
