eTA pending but they're asking me to fill in an application for temporary residency

Please help, I'm desperate. Was meant to fly yesterday to join a 3 week canoe tour on the Yukon (my dream trip I've waited years for).

I applied for the electronic travel authorisation on Friday but my application is pending and they've come back from more information. This includes my CV (my whole working history!), record of all my previous addresses, copy of my passport (all pages), evidence of my itinerary etc. I also have to complete a 'Schedule 1 - application for a temporary resident made outside Canade (IMM 5257). The air line spoke to someone at immigration and they said I DO have to fill all this in but I can't access the form, when I download it here: IMM 5257 E : Schedule 1 - Application for temporary residence (canada.ca) it doesn't load. It says I need Adobe Reader but I already have that!

Can anyone help? I can't find any way to call them myself and even the airline were just told I needed to fill it all in, but with the forms not working i can;t even do that. I've already missed at least a third of my dream trip but could join the tour at Carmacks if I can get out in the next few days.

Try a different computer / device. The Adobe issue is an issue on your end.

The IRCC contact centre is not open today since it's the weekend. The earliest you'll be able to call them is tomorrow. However they won't be able to help with the Adobe issue. This is something on your end that you will need to tolve.

Your eTA is now non-standard since additional information has been requested. This means that normal processing times do not apply. Generally speaking, when IRCC requests additional information, you're looking at several additional weeks of processing. Although it's always possible it may be faster.

The IRCC contact centre has a 1-800 number that can only be called from within Canada. However I believe there are people who have managed to call from outside of Canada. You will need to search the web for that information. I don't have the details.
