eTa entrance - working and studying question

Hi there,

I've applied for a University in Ottawa, and as I read, once I get accepted I can process the studying permit, however I need to work to help pay tuition. I have a couple of questions that I can't quite figure out from the website.

-Is it possible to fly over to Canada with an eTA, and then when accepted at Uni change my visa status to student?
-If I enter Canada with an eTA, can I still work for a couple of months, or would I require an additional permit?

(Any additional info that I might be missing would be very much appreciated)

Yes.

You need a Work Permit for working.
