thank you in advance to those who will help me with this question
I am from an eTA only required country. My stamp expires on 30th Oct. Can I just go to the international airport where I had initially entered to get my extension done by an immi officer? I read somewhere that this is possible, is it true? Thank you again!

If we’re that easy I guess they would not have the extend stay process, then again have heard of cases where people have managed to locate CBSA at an airport to resolve an incorrectly issued permit but a visit extension not so sure.

Think is only possible other than flying out and back if you go to a land border and flagpole risking of course as a visitor not getting back in again. Or simply use the extend stay process which is pretty straight forward.

As Bs65 said.

Also, you will need to ask that "somewhere" which rules they are referring too. Maybe they can give more detail.

1. No you can't apply for an extension at the airport, you have to apply here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend/visa.asp
