Hello, my case is a little unusual I guess.

I have a criminal record in the USA in 2010, i explained that when doing my eta application(2018), after sending the FBI record and court record they rejected my application under the grounds of inadmissible 36(2)(b), then in 2019 i applied again and they finally approved my eTA in February 2021. I spent like 7-8 months with my eta approved but because of the pandemic, I couldn't travel these months, so finally when the border opened y realize that my passport was about to expire in Oct, so I renewed it and applied for a new eTA, and in the question "have you been convicted or..." in the application, I didn't know what to answer so finally i said "yes" and explain everything again about my criminal conviction. In the last box where you can add some extra info, i explained that i already had an eta approved and i had just renewed my passport and trying to get a new eTA, Sadly they are now asking me again the same documents that i already sent in the past, i am very frustrated about this situation. now i am expecting my FBI record to send it again and hopefully, they will see that i don't have any new convictions or criminal record.

But i dont know why they are asking everything again if they already have a file of my case in their system. Wish me luck, please. ill keep you posted if anything happens

Olá!
Espero que tudo dê certo para você.
Toda vez que é emitido um novo passaporte, emite-se um novo ETA. Alguém me corrige caso eu estou enganada. Creio que foi por esse motivo que você precisou enviar tudo denovo.
