Hello everyone.

I am new here and also pretty new to the Canadian Immigration laws. I was wondering if one can come to Canada under ETA (without visa) and then look for a job and apply to stay there under skilled work.
If not, what can be done instead?

Thank you for your help.

You can try - but it's typically extremely difficult to find a job as a foreign worker since the employer has to go through the LMIA process to hire you and most aren't willing to go through the wait and expense.

It's more realistic to apply for permanent residency and become a PR - then to look for a job.

Thanks.
Well is it easier to get PR when doing an inland application?
If I'm denied will that prevent me from going back as a visitor?

No - it is not easier to get PR as an inland applicant. The requirements are the same. You'd be better off applying from your home country since you won't be able to work as a visitor in Canada and it can take quite a number of months to be selected, to apply and then be approved.
