Essential Worker application eligibility

Hi, I am currently on student visa and doing undergrad degree of 4 years. Right now I am in my last year. But I have worked part time as essential worker (my job comes in the job mentioned in the list) for the last 3 years. So I have 1560 hours of experience. I wanted to know can I apply for essential worker application based on my study permit.
The instructions on immigration website are little ambiguous. it states the one must "Reside in Canada with valid temporary resident status ".

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Yes you can apply as long as you meet all the other eligibility criteria of one of the streams.

I have a question for working while study. Experience as essential worker while study will be counted?
