I plan to enroll ESL program wich start in January and last 4 months - full time.
After that I plan to enroll the Academic program wich start in September and last 1 year - full time.

My questions are:

1. Can I apply for student visa? Because after ESL program I want to continue the Academic program and I will need the study permit?!

2. When I will study ESL, can my spouse get a open work visa or what? She have a Phd and want to work when I will study...

3. If I go to ESL program only like visitor visa, than she can not work, and she only can be in Canada like visitor..?! It does not make sense..

If anyone know answer... Thank you...

1. Because the ESL program is six months or less, you need to apply for a visitor visa rather than a study permit.
2. No - your spouse will not qualify for an open work permit.
3. Yes - she can apply for a visitor visa - although there is no guarantee the visa will be approved.

He SHOULD apply for SP BECAUSE he wants to continue with studing in Canada at Academic program.

No quarntee his wife get any visa (visitor or OP) even if he gets SP.

Only if the ESL program is a direct pre-requisite of the Academic program.

I am afraid, because I must pay now the fee for ESL and I am little bit confused because if I wouldnt get a visa, and I also want to continue the Academuc pfogram after, and I will have a few months between ESL and Academuc program...?!

The people from my country dont need a viza for visitor stay... That is good, but I only interested in student viza..

Have anyone some advise?

If you are visa exempt, then you don't need a visitor visa or a study visa for your ESL course. You will just enter Canada on your passport as a visitor and then complete your ESL studies. You will however need a study visa once you are ready to start your Academic studies (assuming they are longer than six months).

If you have any further question - post them to the forum. I don't give out my private contact information to people I don't personally know.

What to do? Help :o

Now what you can do is to apply for a study permit for the 1 year full time course which you intend to start by september 2015.

as for the ESL you can enter canada and study since your country is a visa free to canada.

give it a try your spouse might get a OWP , when you apply for a 1 year full time course not the ESL
