Your NOC is not a cashier (6611) but food attendant. 6611 is for those who work in grocery stores. Your NOC is 6711 which includes cashiers that work in fast food restaurants.

so he ain't eligible : /
No. If you read the NOCs, 6611 is clearly working in a grocery store and 6711 is working as a food counter attendant (cashier) in a fast food restaurant. IRCC will see McDonald’s or Subway as the letterhead and know they are not 6611.

I think many people are going to apply who work in the fast food industry and think (and hope) they are cashiers. But there is a NOC just for food counter attendant. IRCC knew if the included 6611 that tens of thousands of students/PGWP/IECs etc. would be eligible.

was it on purpose IRCC excluded it ! Also the scheme's requirements were published with not much time for them to go through everything. : (

So I see under food counter attendant there is also Dishwasher position? If you put that you have 12 months of dishwashing position they will accept that under 6711 noc code?

Sure because most students work part-time in fast food places.
The whole thing is super discriminatory, work is work and every work is respected. Everyone who works during this pandemic should get a chance to apply for PR. I am just super disappointed over the system here. Its unfair.

Then bring it up with the Canadian government or your local MP. This is a special situation and would not have been offered otherwise. The Government had to select NOCs they considered essential. Not everyone was going to be happy.
