We missed the cap this time, hoping to apply in 2014, wondering will they launch eoi next year? will the application process start in June, or we have to wait for an announcement from cic?

Most probably will start in may as fsw2013 is upto that only

I wish EOI starts from next year itself and hopefully we have 2174 in the NOC list.

Any ideas if we will require more documentation apart from what was required in 2013 FSWP. I am ready with ECA and will have IELTS scores by nov.

Can anybody from india, maharahstra tell me how much time does it take to get PCC done and detailed procedure ? can it be done in advance ?

I am going to apply for PR for upcoming scheme.
We are living in ahmedabad. My wife has studied in banglore for 4 years 2003 to 2007. My consultant is saying that You have to take Police verification certificate(PVC) or Police Clearence Certificate (PCC) compulsorily for the place where you have stayed more than 6 months therefore, I have to take PCC for my wife from banglore for that four years. I have inquired from my sources in banglore, banglore police is saying that i have to apply to local passport office for (PCC) and ahmedabad passport office will send documents to banglore police station regarding PCC or PVC and they will send PCC or PVC to ahmedabad passport office. Thereafter I have inquired to my regional passport office, the passport officer has told me that my wife is living in ahmedabad for more than 1 year so there is no need to take PVC or PCC from banglore and they will give me PCC for Ahmedabad only.

So guys after this much big story can you help me out?
1. what are requirements for PVC or PCC?
2. is my consultant is right or the passport officer?
3. I have seen few same cases in past who got visa without this kind of PVC or PCC. so this rules has been changed?

Pls. guide me.

What I feel if your country changes than only you need location vise PCC/PVC else per country latest location PCC is ok.
but do not go for PCC no as it is valid for 6 months only and this time FSW may not start. keep it as last step or your application preparation

A lot of applicants are talking about FSW reopening in 2014. Happy to be proven wrong but i am certain that their is no official word about this from CIC. Now i think there is a chance that some unscrupulous Consultants are floating this idea so that innocent applicants can fall in their trap and they can collect fees using lines like .... "lets start working on your file so that you can apply as soon as the programme opens"

I have experienced this myself last time when consultants kept calling me saying that they will start preparing my file on the basis of previous NOC (2011 list). when i asked them what if my NOC is not included they said then they only keep a small service charge (small = approx 33%!! ) I eventually decided not to use any consultant and apply myself. I really think if a consultant is willing to prepare your file in advance for FSW 2014 then one should take in writing that they will not pay ANY fees in case the programme does not open in 2014. Remember EOI is a totally different thing from FSW.

I AM NOT SAYING THAT FSW WILL BE REOPENED FOR 2014 OR NOT. ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT AS FAR AS WE KNOW THEIR IS NO OFFICIAL NEWS ABOUT THE PROGRAMME'S FUTURE EXCEPT THAT THEY PLAN TO INTRODUCE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) IN EARLY 2015.

Sorry friends if it sounds harsh/critical but it had to be said on the forum. We have had far too many cases told on this forum where agents have screwed things up and gone scotfree just because the applicants are not informed enough and think that the agent tried their best... ATB

You are totally right.

consultants are doing such things. but we dont have options. If FSW 2014 will be there then I need to apply within a week. because my category will be full very fast. So I have to start prepare from now. some of my friends have consulted current consultant previously.
