Lets say you are in this pool and a Canadian employer want to hire you. How fast can you start your new job? Can you get something like a bridge visa?
I doubt employers want to wait for a year for you to come to canada?

You can only work AFTER arriving in Canada as a Permanent Resident, so it depends on CIC on how fast they can process these future applications and issue visas. As far as I know, there is no such thing as bridge visas for Canada.
CIC has backlogs everywhere so I doubt if they can become fast that quickly.

Only other way to work in Canada is with Work Permit. Work Permit has its own requirements (see CIC website).

So to put it straight forward, no fast/easy way (anymore) to Canada. It's really unfortunate.

I guess these countries only want to select the smartest/brightest talent now. They feel they already have a lot of the 'others'.

Applicants are still waiting for so many years from Time of Application to Visa issuance. CIC still can't process current FSW fast enough.
