Based on your spelling and knowledge of the English language, I doubt you are Canadian or have lived here.

No, you don't. There is no such law, you can stay in Pakistan for as long as you like. But as a Canadian citizen, you should have known that already..

No need to doubt someone's status, come on :)

As for OP : go wherever you like, and renew your passport wherever you live. You don't have to even set foot in Canada once in your life.

I think it’s vice-versa: there’s no need to doubt someone’s status, but at the same time, it’s ok to doubt someone’s post on an open forum.
Having said that, I find it interesting for someone who’ve lived in Canada as a PR to not know the basic difference between the rights of being a citizen vs a PR.

Well, everyone is obviously "free" to doubt others' post, but why would anyone be offensive for no reason... ?
