Entry visa for India + Surrender indian passport

@Bj123 I have applied for tourist visa (not entry visa) on 3rd Sept. As per CGI Toronto & BLS, Entry Visa is taking ~45 days. May I know your timeline if you have submitted?

Hi All, has anyone applied for entry visa for India? Do you know if the surrender certificate is a requirement for the visa. I know that it is required for OCI. What are the timeline these days?

Applied for Entry Visa on Nov 19th by Post (Purolator pickup and drop off), along with renunciation application. Got my Entry visa by post on Dec 1st (Approved on Nov 22nd) and got my surrender certificate today. I would suggest dropping off your application at the BLS centre, instead of mailing as it adding extra time (close to 15 days to open your application and then send to the consulate).
