Hello!
Here are all the facts:
- Fiance from Guatemala has a multiple entry TRV
-This will be his second visit to Canada with this visa, first entry was easy, no problems at the border.
-First visit, we came together, this time he will be traveling on his own because I have to return to Canada earlier than him
-I will write him some sort of invitation letter that he can present at the POE if needed
-His boss will also write a letter confirming employment in Guatemala and expected return date to work
-He has more than enough funds to support him while in Canada and can produce a bank statement if needed
The reason we only want to buy him a one way flight for now is because we will be returning to Guatemala together, but not sure of the exact date yet. End of July, that's all we know. Also, because he cannot have a connecting flight in the US, flights from Guatemala to Canada are sometimes hard to coordinate and we found that it ends up being cheaper buying one ways.
Will he encounter problems at the border holding only a one way flight into Canada? The last time he came he also only had a one way flight but I was traveling with him, maybe it made a difference. I'm hoping with my letter and his bosses letter will be enough...?
Or should we play it safe and just book a return flight anyway?
