Entry for 3 weeks before medical expires ..

Hi

I was wondering that if I enter Canada for 3 weeks before medical expires, and get my PR card in process, and then leave Canada and re-enter after completing some work commitments .. is that possible? Tentatively seeing that my medical expires in Jan, how about I enter Canada in dec, get my PR in process, leave in 3 weeks and re-enter in March end .. is that doable?

The primary reason for doing so is work commitment, secondary reason is the winter season.

Well you are under no obligation to stay longer in Canada.You can leave even on the same day after completing your landing formalities

BUT before leaving make sure that

1)You must have any friend/relative in Canada (whose address you will have to provide at the airport), who could receive your PR card and send it through courier to overseas.

2)Try not to disclose the CBSA authorities at the airport that you are going to stay only for few days/weeks in Canada .As, recently there were some experiences reported where CBSA refused to do the PRC processing ,when people disclosed to them that they were here for a short duration (will leave Canada before the PR card arrives).I am not telling you to lie ,but refrain from mentioning it unless you are asked for.

my medicals got over my may 1st last month ... I entered Canada on April 26th and exited on may 29th .. will re-enter in dec ... never mention to border security that you will exit immediately even if asked ... tell them that you will stay for good and convince them by takin your funds etc
