Entrance exam in schools - Gr.11 & 2

Dear Seniors
Thanks for your continous support. Need your advise.
I could land into Toronto only by mid september. I need to put my 2 kids in Gr. 11 and Gr. 2. Will there be any entrance exam for these children. How to approach public schools. What preparation my kids have to do prior to landing into Canada.

Hi

The School Admission to the Grade in Canada goes by the Year of Birth.
Also the school is determined by the address of the residence you are moving to (and hence you cannot get an admission now).
School year starts in September.
I am not too sure about Grade 11 procedure. They may test for English proficiency and may suggest ESL course (at least for Grade 2).
Do not forget to get all the School records
