Is there any issue for US green card holders to enter Canada using their green card if they happen to be also perm of Canada?

The reason I ask is for future reference, if I happen to lose (simply cannot find it etc) the CaPR Card, and need visa to enter Canada without the card?

Thanks a lot.

If you lose your PR card and want to travel to Canada by air, bus, ship, then you can board on the basis that you are going to visit and you are visa exempt since you hold a green card. When you arrive at a port of entry in Canada you HAVE to tell them you are a PR of Canada. Do not attempt to enter as a visitor.

If you are driving to Canada then you just arrive at the border and tell them you are a PR but have nothing to prove it. They will be able to verify.

Get a travel document to enter canada as a pr either by air or by land
. You can also enter to Canada by land and at port of entry you can show your Confirmation of permanent residence paper or IMM1000 etc to show that you are a PR. Never lie by telling you are visiting as a visitor, they will know by checking their system. Be honest always.
