Entering with a CoPR and travel insurance

Hi all,
I am taking off for Canada tomorrow, CoPR in the backpack. I didn't take a travel insurance but I am now wondering if I need one in case of medical emergency until I have access to health care... Can someone advise please?

It’s definitely recommended to get travel insurance for at least the first few weeks, especially since provincial health coverage doesn’t kick in right away in most provinces. A short-term policy can give you peace of mind in case something unexpected happens. Better safe than sorry!
