Hi,
We live in Chicago area and I'm here on H1B. We have Canada immigrant Visas and the COPRs ready. I and my family plan to make our first entry to Canada through Detroit-Windsor tunnel.
1) My car has a Michigan title, and if I carry those papers, will it be sufficient? Also, we just want to go and come back over a weekend just to activate our PRs. Is it considered as importing my car because I'll be bringing back to US the very next day? Has anyone done this and is it ok?
2) I'm worried about the situation that when returning to US, the US Immigration may refuse entry because of the job problems in US. My H1B is valid until next year though. Can anyone kindly share their experience? Because the worst situation will be the denial by Canada authorities because of some reason and denial by US immigration to enter US, in which case we'll be left hung nowhere. Does such a situation ever happen?
Thanks in advance.
