^^This is a key point, I didn't grasp whether it's a one-way to Anchorage or return to Vancouver. The cruise line most likely won't let you board if it's return to Vancouver. (And see my point above whether the route crosses in and out while calling at different ports, I seem to recall some do, but not sure).
If there's time to renounce in advance that may be the cleanest.
