Hi everyone!

My application for an extension of my study permit was accepted on the 26th of September, and I was told that the permit would be delivered to my address within 6 weeks.

However, I will be leaving for Miami on the 1st for three days and am worried that my study permit will not arrive in time.

Has anyone ever re-entered Canada without a study permit on them?

Anyone have any advice - I can't cancel this trip ! :-X

Thanks!

Immigration Officer if they are co-operative (most of them are) can look up your status online and without any hassle to the person, My friend traveled to States with me without her work permit so it was ok for her. Just some extra time to let immigration officer verify your information.

I would say just make sure your study permit is approved by CIC and you have Canadian visa to return back.

Hope this helps

Study permit doesn't guarantee re-entry into Canada. You will need a valid visa.
